Nuestro Nueva Casa
In mid-July we moved again (the 4th time in the last 15 months). We now are staying with Evy and Baldo Hernandez and we hope it is the last home we have before leaving for language school. Evy is from Guatemala and Baldo is from Mexico; they are graciously letting us have a room in their home as we seek to get an early start on learning our new language. All of the things we use every day are now in one room!
Evy and Baldo also share their home with Corky (pictured) and Chris (not pictured). Chris is 27 years old and has lived with them for the last 5 years.
We both took summer term Spanish classes at Lane Community College: Spanish 101 (Jody) and Spanish 103 (Scott). We had plans for this fall, but God changed them this week when an earlier spot opened for four weeks of cross-cultural training in Colorado Springs, September 23-October 19. We’ll probably return to Oregon (and Baldo and Evy’s) for the holidays and start our Spanish language school in Costa Rica January 3.
We are grateful for God’s provision and guidance and for all of our friends and supporters.
